Hope is a gray domestic short hair cat. She is about 3 months old and is a bit small for her age. Hope may seem a bit shy at first, but she loves kids and other cats. When she first came to Colorado, she would just lay back and be more of an observer than a participant. Once she became comfortable, she has enjoyed the cat tree, scratching posts, balls with bells, and boxes. Hope LOVES boxes! Once she warmed up, she would come and greet us at the door and accept lots of love. She doesn’t mind to being brushed since her hair is longer and fluffier. She also loves kids but prefers them to be respectful of her space. Hope is a fun-loving girl who would love to be your next family member.
This very loving girl is named Loretta. She came to us from Kansas after her kittens were saved while she was left behind. Poor girl was so confused and sad. Despite all this, she was still extremely sweet and would seek affection. She is an active lady and does well with other cats. She is a natural Momma cat, meaning she takes care of any kittens she can. This may be annoying for some elderly cats. After coming to Colorado, Loretta showed her loving nature every day. She will rub against our legs and follow us around the room just to get one more scratch. She is fully vetted and ready for her new family.
I am a 4-month-old male. I am part of a litter that was less than an hour away from being euthanized in Kansas. I was flown to Colorado with 13 other cats, including my siblings, thanks to AWR. I was brought into the shelter with them but since we were so scared to be around people, we had to get out of there. Since I have started to feel safe, I have shown that I am a lover boy and I love to play with toys. Overall, I’m pretty mellow and love being petted. I will hold your hand to my face to rub my chin and purr as loud as I can. I am young enough to learn how to live with other animals.
Tony the Tiger is a fabulous orange kitty. For unknown reasons, he was trapped and brought into Animal Control. A rescue lady picked Tony up from the shelter to give him a second chance to find a loving forever home.
Tony is the sweetest guy. He is a quiet kitty, not vocal at all. He likes to be held and is affectionate. Even though he is an adult, he is very playful. Tony's life before being trapped is a mystery but he has maintained a sweet and docile personality.
Tony is estimated to be 1 year old. The only dislike that has been discovered with Tony is he hates to receive medicine of any type.
I am a 5-year-old, black DSH, neutered male I weigh 8lbs. I might need a minute to get comfortable with you. I mean it…literally a minute, 60 seconds, 120 at the most. I came from a house with two other cats, but they were moving, and I was the odd man out. I don’t really understand why because I’m the perfect cat! I play well with kids, I love to snuggle, I want to be where you are all the time, I even love having my belly rubbed.
In my foster home I was originally put in a spot with a bossy cat (Buddy) that they thought I would like; we did NOT get along. But I think if I had another cat with me that was a less bossy and shier, I would be fine. Now I just share my space with a 12-year-old girl that gives me lots of attention, and I make sure of it. I like to keep her up late to make sure I get my pets in for the day.
While I do love the kiddos, I am a bit of a mouther. I do not bite down but will give some love nibbles. And if you are on your phone, and not paying attention to me, I like to give the phone a good nibble too to get your attention. Please do not introduce me into too much commotion at once. Too much going on does scare me and causes me to hide and hiss/growl. I was less than an hour away from being euthanized at a Kansas shelter. Thankfully, AWR rescue saved me from dying. I was flown to Colorado with 13 other cats who were all saved, thanks to Shelley. I would love a new home with a family to give affection to.
Do you like listening to music on Pandora? So do I! Well, I more so like to make my own music by being talkative. You won’t need to listen to anything else because I have a beautiful voice. I am a super sweet gal that came from a huge family. I was found with 16 other cats at a home in Kansas. I was set to be killed out the overcrowded shelter there. Thankfully, AWR was able to save me and I get to start over in Colorado. I would like to have another pal to hang out with, but I am fine being the only pet in the home too. I am a sweet girl. I deserve another chance to find a family that will give me the care and love I deserve.
I am a 12-year-old Female tan/orange DSH Cat. I was surrendered by my owners that I had known my whole life. I do NOT like men. Never have and probably never will. I have bitten and scratched men multiple times over my life. They are just not my cup of tea. I also have been known to bite to the point of drawing blood. I have never been around kids or dogs so I’m not sure how I well I would feel being around them. I did have one other cat living with me that I was aggressive towards. My ideal house would be a quiet one without any other animals or a lot of noise or traffic going in and out of the house. I need a stable environment, when I get stressed out with changes, I tend to let you know by going potty outside my box. Also, do NOT touch the belly under any circumstances. I am an older lady and will tell you how it is, but since I can’t talk, I tell you with my teeth and claws.
I know I sound like a handful. I an older gal, but I still feel like there is someone out there that can handle the mess I am and love me for it regardless. I just need the right type of home life to feel happy and secure.
